Officers of Council #3078 ...
Below are the council officers. Each officer is dedicated to the
council and their duties. We have included a picture of each officer
so you can match a face with their names. If you have any questions
about the council or activities, do not hesitate to ask an officer for
help. They are all willing to listen and get you the help and
information you need.
Dennis
Bizon, Grand Knight

This position is elected.
The Grand Knight is the chief executive of the Council. He is responsible
for the smooth and orderly operation of the council. He presides
over meetings, appoints committees, countersigns orders and checks, and
reads vouchers.
David
Hollobaugh, Deputy Grand Knight
dgk@rhjoneskofc.org
This position is elected. The Deputy Grand Knight is second in
command. he takes over when the Grand Knight is not available.
The Deputy Grand Knight oversees council programs and is responsible for
whatever duties the Grand Knight may assign to him.
Chris Stayer,
Chancellor
This position is elected. The Chancellor is responsible for the
spiritual well being of council members, especially new members and those
who are sick or in distress. He works with the Rosary Committee to
contact members in the event of the death of a council family member.
Pete Rauch,
Recorder
This position is elected.
The Recorder is responsible for keeping a true record of the doings of his
council upon books approved and furnished by the Supreme Council at the
council's expense. He is responsible for all council correspondence.
Gene
Gross, Financial Secretary

This position
is appointed by the Grand Knight and board of trustees, subject to the
approval of the Supreme Knight. The Financial Secretary is
responsible for billing the members for dues, receiving all money and
recording them in the council's books, turning over all money to the
Treasurer for deposit, and for serving as the direct link between the
council and Supreme. (This is a 3 year position, for which the Financial
Security is paid a commission.

Nicholson, Treasurer

This position
is elected. the Treasurer receives moneys from the Financial
Secretary (FS) and deposits them in the council account, after giving a
receipt to the FS. The Treasurer writes all checks after receiving
properly endorsed vouchers. All checks are countersigned by the
Grand Knight.
Kerry
Downing, Advocate
This position is elected.
The Advocate shall be the attorney of the council in case of trail and
investigation of any matter whatsoever of interest to the council.
He is also responsible for ensuring that the by laws for the council are
enacted and kept up-to-date.
Tony Grubbs, Warden
This position is elected. The Warden is responsible for all council
properties except money and accounts. He is also responsible for
ensuring that council chambers are properly setup for meetings and degree
work. The guards report to him.
Mike Downs, Inside Guard
This position is elected. The Inside Guard attends to the inner door
of the council chamber and checking the validity of the members'
membership cards. He reports to the Warden and performs whatever
function the Warden deems necessary to maintain order in the council.
John Merconi,
Outside Guard
This position is elected. The Outside Guard attends to the outer
door of the council chamber and checking the validity of the members'
membership cards. He also reports to the Warden and performs
whatever function the Warden deems necessary to maintain order in the
council.

Ralph O'Connor, Outside Guard
This position is elected. The Outside Guard attends to the outer
door of the council chamber and checking the validity of the members'
membership cards. He also reports to the Warden and performs
whatever function the Warden deems necessary to maintain order in the
council.

Spindleman, Trustee
These three positions are elected. The Board of Trustees is
responsible for supervising all the financial activities of the council.
Its approval is required for the payment of all moneys except those levied
by the Supreme or State Councils. They audit the books of the
Financial Secretary and Treasurer at least twice yearly.

Trustee
